The Minnesota State Road is conducted at designated Exam Centers throughout the state. Visit www.mndriveinfo.org to find all locations or call 651-284-1000 to schedule test.
To be eligible to take the State Road Test, students must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have held an instruction permit for a minimum of 6 months.
- Have completed the 6 hours of Behind the Wheel with Buckle Up.
- Received the White Card (Certificate of Course Completion) from the licensed instructor.
TEST DAY REQUIRMENTS: Must present to State Examiner
- Minnesota Permit
- White Card (Certification of Course Completion)
- Vehicle Insurance ( State of Minnesota does not provide vehicle)
- A parent or guardian must be accompany the student to Road Test. Parent or guardian must sign application
- Social Security number for application
- Fee for License (Checks or cash only)
- Completed Supervised Driving Log.
- **If a student receives the White Card before December 31, 2014 all that is required is a minimum 30 hours/10 of those at night.
- **If a student receives White Card after January 1, 2015 a driving log must be submitted on test day to state examiner. The log must have minimum 50 Hours/15 of those at night. The log must be signed by the main supervised parent or guardian.
